Policies

Canceling and Rescheduling

A minimum of 24 hours' notice is required in order to cancel or reschedule an appointment without being charged in full for the session. If an appointment is canceled or rescheduled within 24 hours of the appointment the full balance of the session will be charged.

No-Show

If a no-show occurs, the full balance of the session will be charged.

Late Arrival

Appointment times are as scheduled and cannot extend beyond the stated time to accommodate late arrivals. The full balance of the session will be charged no matter how much of the appointment is missed.

Refunds

Services rendered are not eligible for refunds.

Right to Refuse Service

The practitioner can decline the session and reschedule if they feel you are ill or injured in any way; or if any smell of smoke, colognes, perfumes, aftershaves, scented lotions, essential oils, body sprays, roll-ons, or other scented body/hair products may cause problems to themselves or other clients. The practitioner reserves the right to refuse to provide any work to any client for reasons deemed just and reasonable.

Scope Of Practice

Bodywork is not a substitute for any medical examination, medical care, treatment, or diagnosis. If there are any medical, mental, emotional, or physical concerns the client should speak with a physician or other qualified medical specialist. The practitioner cannot diagnose illnesses or injuries, prescribe medications, or purposefully make any skeletal or spinal manipulations/adjustments, and nothing said or done during the course of the session(s) should be construed as such.

Professional Boundaries and Conduct

Bodywork has NO sexual intent. Touching the practitioner or one’s self in a sexual manner is strictly prohibited. Any illicit or sexually suggestive remarks, advances, inappropriate comments, or conduct will NOT be tolerated. Any indication of such behavior will automatically end the session and full payment will be charged immediately. If the session is already paid for it will not be refunded and any unused gift certificates will become void. Furthermore, the client will be banned from any future sessions and personal information will be given to local law authorities and may be passed along to other local massage and bodywork therapists.

Treatment of Minors

If the client is under the age of 18 a parent/legal guardian's signature is required on the intake form. That parent/ legal guardian must be present in the room during the whole duration of the session.

Confidentiality and Privacy

Client communication and personal medical information will be collected and will be kept confidential unless medically necessary, required by law/court order, or necessary for the protection of the public. Every effort is made to respect a client’s right to privacy and provide an environment where personal health-related details cannot be overheard or seen by others.

Existing and New Medical Conditions

Clients must provide all medical information and not knowingly withhold any information which may be relevant to bodywork session(s). It is the client's responsibility to keep all providers updated as to any changes in their medical profile. There shall be no liability on the part of the practitioner should a client neglect to do so.

Gift Certifcates

Gift certificates are only redeemable at Amethyst Rose Massage LLC. Certificates are not valid for cash/credit trade-in or refund. Certificates are not approved for transfer or resale. Certificates hold no value and will not be accepted if purchased from a third party or any company other than Amethyst Rose Massage LLC. Certificates must be presented at the time of service or purchase of product. Certificates will be invalid if found to be a fraudulent copy. Amethyst Rose Massage LLC will not be held responsible for lost, stolen, or destroyed certificates. Cannot be combined with any other offer.
